On the occasions where KFC, Church's or Popeyes fails to satisfy my craving for fried chicken, I whip up a batch of Grandma's Fried Chicken. Granny usually fries up a huge batch of chicken wings, but I decided on chicken thighs. Today, I added a pinch of ground ginger to Granny's standard recipe and it came out great.
